Is Go Daddy the Worst Brand Around?
Go Daddy’s strategy is pretty clear: Make dudes think about boobs and associate their service with hot chicks. There is something eerily Playboy-ish* about it, especially in this year’s Superbowl ad, where the current girls meet “the new girl.” Are they going to have their own “Girls Next Door”-style show too?
I can’t help but feel that their boob-centric campaign implicitly says, “making websites is for boys.” Not men, boys. Kinda patronizing to men, and insulting for women. Worst of all, that message is coming from a company with the hands-down worst logo ever:
I’m assuming it depicts a nerd so stunned by babely babes that his head literally starts on fire.
What do you think? Does their campaign work?
*Except much stupider than Playboy.
