Sony does the right thing…all wrong.

After months of waiting and debating whether to trade our unused PSPs in for new DS Lites, Sony has come to our salvation by finally opening up the US version of the Playstation Store. Here you can download demos, videos, games and select PSONE titles.
So far there are only 17 games including the brilliant Castlevania, I’m praying that Sony gets round to re-releasing some of the more obscure games which would be fantastic on the PSP – in particular Carnage Heart.
The thing is, this ought to be a game changer for Sony and the PSP. It opens up a library of more than 7,000 games, many of which haven’t really been beaten by native PSP games and puts it way ahead of the DS as a gaming platform. However, it seems that this has simply been rolled out without any fanfare or support. They’ve also made it a bit clunky so you need to transfer files to your PC first and then to your PSP, forgetting apparently, that one of the PSP’s cool features is wifi.
