Building metadata into everyday objects.
Came across these two objects recently:
First is a belt made from measuring tape (via Information Aesthetics)
Second was this transparent recycling bin (via PSFK)
Thought they were excellent examples of building utility into objects through design. They are also entirely non-digital ways of creating services attached to everyday objects or products.
