I'd call that an improvement in sampling rate, still digital but a closer fit to the curve ;)

I know I've been celebrating a small difference for the past week.

On the subject of video games, Pac-Man creator Toru Iwatani has unveiled and released Pac-Man Championship Edition for Xbox Live Arcade on the Xbox 360. It's just Pac-Man, right? Not to me it isn't.

See, I never really liked the original Pac-Man but once I played this version I was hooked. Subtle differences (e.g., having all timed modes, using the widescreen fully, avoiding all stoppages--there are no level loading screens ever) made all the difference for me. I just can't stop playing it.

So, here's to subtle differences making all the difference!
